I’m Jef Pauly. Originally from Belgium, I’ve called the US home for more than two decades. Currently based in California’s Sierra foothills, with a camera usually within reach.

I’ve spent much of my life making things, playing drums, and running a bar. Photography pulls a lot of that life together. My approach is intuitive, shaped by the places I’ve lived, the people I’ve met, and everything I’ve picked up along the way.

Americana, the history of the West, and people and their stories keep me curious. There’s always something to notice.
